Let's Just Get Along. . .

 

Welcome to the "Take it Easy" room. Leave your troubles behind, leave your stress behind, leave your 'busy-ness' behind. Take a deep breath - let it out slow, then just read, relax, & become more in touch with the real you. There's hopefully something for everybody here. This is a place of ZERO judgment. It doesn't matter what you believe, what religion you are, what nationality you are, what color you are, or how your interests vary from mine or anybody else's. This is one place you can come and just BE. We're all ONE in this world - there's nobody better than anybody else. We're all here learning different things in different ways & taking different roads. There would be peace on earth if we could just realize this and then just get along. I love John Lennon's song that says "Give peace a chance". I hope that in some small way, I can help contribute to world peace, even if it's by just sharing some neat things that I've found.

 

I like to do deep thinking - unfortunately I do a lot of it while laying in bed at night and I can't seem to get into "sleep mode".  I have been thinking a lot lately about war, un-rest, contention amongst people, etc.  I thought about how war of any kind (even small ones, like say between a brother and a sister) are all caused by greed and a feeling of wanting something bigger or better than the next person.  Usually the 'thing' desired is power. 

I thought about how war and disagreements are also caused by feelings of superiority and how we single some people out above others.  Millions (billions?) have died throughout the ages of time because of silly things such as skin color, eye shape, hair color, religious preferences, or even which side of the railroad tracks they live on!

I've seen people with different skin color or eye shape get cut and their blood runs red just like mine.  I used to be a medical assistant and I've watched surgery on them - they have skin, red blood, bones, fat, veins, spit, teeth, eyelashes - just like other people.  So why all the contention? 

People who live on the "bottom of the hill" have red blood and skin and veins just like people who live on top of the mountains in mansions.  They have families and children and dogs and cats and they love and live just like the people on the top of the hills. 

Buddhists, Monks, Born Again Christians, Catholics, Mormons, Wiccans, Christian Scientists, Baptists and the like all have red blood and skin and they, too, have families, friends, dogs, cats, hobbies, and they have bad breath in the morning just like me!  And just like you!  They eat, drink, travel, laugh, yell, cry, dance, play, sleep, burp, stub their toes, and do all the things that the rest of us do. 

Some people believe that Allah speaks to them.  Others believe they hear and see Mary Mother of God.  Others believe they hear the Holy Ghost.  Some believe they are reincarnated beings of others who have lived before.  I say, "GREAT!"  Let them believe as they wish.  Each person is on their own special journey and it's PERFECT for them at any given moment.  Not one of us has the right to tell any other person that their way is wrong and our way is right.  Not one of us has the right to tell another person that their 'witness' is wrong and ours is right.  Each person receives what they should receive and need to receive or desire to receive - and it's all good, just as it is.  It's a perfect page in their perfect life as they receive the perfect lessons that bring them to a perfect place. 

I believe the perfect place in any person's life is finally realizing the 'oneness' of each person in this world, & realizing that we have perfect divinity within each of us.  We are higher beings - all of us - and we are meant to BE Love.  Actually, we ARE love - we just don't know it.  It's a wonderful experience for any person to finally realize that they are PERFECT IN THEIR IMPERFECTION.

So what it all boils down to is this:  My earnest hope & desire is to see people stop pointing fingers at one another with criticism or 'righteous indignation'.  Instead we need to look at each person in this world and see the divine in them.  When we can become Love, and really feel pure love for any person we come in contact with, we can seriously affect this world for good.

It's been scientifically proven that emotion is pure energy.  Emotion has been measured through electrical current, etc.  Studies have been done that have shown that ANY act of kindness - even something as simple as a smile - sends good energy and increases good chemicals in the brain.  Every emotion creates a vibration - a literal vibration.  The more positive the vibration, or shall I say the higher the vibration, the faster the energy pulsates.  The lower the emotion, or the more negative it is, the lower (slower) the vibration. 

And here's something interesting:  Light is energy - it vibrates.  The more love that is in an emotion, the FASTER it vibrates, which creates more LIGHT.  The more hate that is in an emotion (or any kind of negativity), the slower the vibration.  For those who believe in the Christian God, think about how scripture teaches that God is LOVE, and God is LIGHT.  It's said that there is no LIGHT brighter than God.  If we look at God in a scientific view - we could say that God's love is so strong, that it vibrates faster than anything known to man, and that's why God is LIGHT.  We're told that God's load is "light"...kind of gives that scripture a whole new meaning, doesn't it!  

I believe that there's been a lot of really 'en-LIGHTened' people on this earth who have eminated a LOT of light to this world.  People like Buddha, Confucious, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and others.  But even those non-famous 'simple' people in this world have generated massive amounts of Light.  I am reminded of this every time I have my little baby daughter smile at me.  She doesn't care if I have make-up on or have my hair done, or if I'm in a bad mood or a good mood.  She just smiles and loves me sooooooo completely.  Hey, even a dog loves in this way.  His master can come home from work in the worst mood, and that dog comes running with a wagging tail, a happy countenance, and shows the master tons of love.    LET YOUR LIGHT (LOVE) SO SHINE in this world.

Scientists have found that when we show any act of kindness, it not only increases the positive energy in the receiver of the act of kindness, but also in the person who gives it, AND anybody who witnessed the act of kindness.  The smallest things cause a ripple effect!  And that can go both ways - in negative things as well as positive.  I encourage each of you to offer positive things to this world.  I recall going to a seminar and the instructor asked us, "Do you believe you can change the world?"  Most of us felt that we were too simple to make any significant change.  The instructor made us stand up, then wave our arm in the air once.  She then said, "You just changed the world.  Your one arm wave caused the air to move, which will forever alter the air currents on this earth."  She was right and I knew it, and I got her point.  I hope you get her point, too.

Let's not get all bent out of shape about who lives where, who has what skin color, who believes this religion or that religion, who is gay and who is straight, who is rich and who is poor....the list goes on and on.  Let's look at the divine within each of us, and just get along.  There is no reason whatsoever for there to be a single starving person in this world.  Greed creates the starvation.  For heavens sake - there's BABIES starving needlessly because of greed!  There is no need for a single person to be killed.  Prejudice and hate cause the killing.  There is no need for any person to be teased in school.  Feelings of superiority and selfishness cause people to be teased.  There is no reason for anybody to be wearing designer clothes.  They're just labels.  And labels cause psuedo-superiority.  Can we stop it?  I say we can.  It can start with you.  It can start with me. 

I'd like to encourage you to start a daily practice.  It's a simple one, but can really change the negative energy that is floating around this earth.  Do you think I sound like a "new age guru"?  For those of you who do - I'll give you the scientific angle, too.  Remember, emotion is energy, and the more love there is, the higher the vibration.  That being said, remember that Light overcomes darkness in all cases.  If there's light anywhere, the darkness is gone.  So, if we send out love, that increases the higher 'frequencies' (vibrations), and lessens the darkness.  It really works.  Okay, so try this:

Each day, just sit down by yourself, or with your spouse, your lover, your children, whoever....   If you're with others, join hands.  Think alone or collectively about a person or persons or situation in this world who could really use some love and higher energy. (it can even be yourself - start loving yourself!)  Next, think about something or somebody that gives you a feeling of deep love personally.  All I have to do is think of my sweet little children and I feel that wonderful love.  Whatever creates that love feeling within you, think of it.  When you feel that love in your chest, imagine it as being a bright white light.  Now, in your mind's eye, project that Light (Love) to the person, persons, or situation that you decided upon. Imagine the Light (LOVE) surrounding them, permeating them, and lifting them.   And there ya go!  You just increased the Light and Love on this earth.  Who says you can't change the world??
